Hybrid absorbers

Comtest’s hybrid absorber is a high-performance, ultra-wide band, carbon-loaded polystyrene absorber with an operating frequency from 20 MHz to 40 GHz. These absorbers are tuned for perfect performance in combination with ferrite tile model 1701-200 in semi-anechoic and full-anechoic chambers. They are compliant with fire retardancy to ISO 11925-2 class E / DIN 4102 class B2 / UL94 HBF, yet do not contain poisonous fire-retardant chemicals.

Microwave absorbers

Comtest’s MT microwave absorbers are high-performance, broadband, carbon-loaded polystyrene absorbers with an operating frequency from 70 MHz to 40 GHz, and angles of incidence equal to angles of reflection. Due to excellent performance at microwave frequencies, the MT series is suited for antenna pattern measurement, (compact) antenna test range, and radar cross section anechoic test chamber applications. These absorbers are compliant with fire retardancy to ISO 11925-2 class E / DIN 4102 class B2 / UL94 HBF, yet do not contain poisonous fire-retardant chemicals.

Convoluted absorber APC

Siepel’s APC is a range of absorbers with convoluted shape, consisting of blocks of carbon-impregnated polyurethane foam, with high angles of incidence. This cladding makes it possible to obtain quiet zone in very wide frequency bands. These absorbers are compliant with fire retardancy to ISO 11925-2, NRL 8093 (Test 1, 2, 3) and DIN 4102 (class B2).

Ferrite tile absorber

These Raymond EMC absorbers can be used wherever high absorption and compact size are required. They are immune to fire, humidity and chemicals, and provide a compact and reliable solution for attenuating plane wave reflections in shielded enclosures. This product delivers absorption in the 30 MHz to 1 GHz range and meets ANSI C63.4, CISPR 16-1-4, and IEC 61000-4-3 standards.

High power absorber AHP

Siepel’s AHP absorbers are designed to line specific areas subject to high power densities (from 2 W/cm2 CW and above) in applications such as telecom, wireless, satellite, automotive and military. These absorbers are typically used to line “hot spots” in anechoic chambers, where energy will be highly concentrated. This product’s open structure enables it to withstand high temperatures resulting from the generation of high field strengths.

Truncated pyramidal absorber APX

Siepel’s APX is a range of absorbers consisting of blocks of carbon-impregnated polyurethane foam in pyramid shape. APX absorbers are suitable for microwave frequency to line anechoic or semi-anechoic chambers for EMC measurements. This material makes it possible to obtain quiet zone in very wide frequency bands (80 MHz to 40 GHz) according to DO-160 and MIL-STD-461. These absorbers are compliant with fire retardancy to ISO 11925-2, NRL 8093 (Test 1, 2, 3) and DIN 4102 (class B2).

Weatherproof absorber AI V4

Siepel’s AI is a range of pyramidal absorbers made of carbon-loaded polyurethane foam, sealed in plastic coating to guarantee a waterproof material. AI absorbers are designed for outdoor uses (covering metallic areas, reducing radar cross section and more). They are impregnated with fire retardant agents and are available with fire-resistant plastic coating as an upgrade.

Two-year warranty

All RF absorbers come with a one-year warranty (with options to extend) to retain the specified RF performance.
